Oil & Cold Wax is another medium I use where the process involves layering and scraping. Because of the unique properties of the oil paint mixed with beeswax and how it handles, my colors and compositions are somewhat different from my acrylic paintings. Because of the longer drying time of this medium, removal – scraping, dissolving – of the paint, at different stages of drying, allows for many different effects and a more complex surface history.
